We are now looking for a licensed nurse, and it is an advantage if you have further training in psychiatry.

We work with individuals who have congenital or acquired disabilities and who live in residences with special support and services. Many of them also have daily activities in day services. In the team, you will have several nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists working towards the same goals. We have strong collegial support and collaboration where we encourage cooperation. Together with the team, we create conditions for a creative, solution-oriented working method to make a difference for our patients.

We offer you an independent job where you can plan your workday and consult closely with colleagues when needed. In the role of nurse, you will be responsible for setting goals, planning, leading, and following up on care in consultation with the patient and care staff. The assignments are performed as home visits across a range of residences with special support and services where you assess both mental and somatic conditions. Our patients' needs for health and medical care vary from preventive to therapeutic medical interventions, contributing to a varied and stimulating job. We focus on providing person-centered care and support, and you are an important person in many of their daily lives. We continuously work on skills enhancement initiatives focusing on the target group within functional support. We also offer the opportunity to develop into a more advanced role and additional expert assignments within psychiatry, where the assignment spans across our area of operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you have further training in psychiatry. We prefer that you have prior experience as a nurse and have worked with the target group of patients with disabilities or psychiatry. Since we work within a larger geographical area, a B driver's license is a requirement.

As a psychiatric nurse, you take responsibility for both your own and shared tasks and ensure that the patient's needs are always at the center. You meet patients, relatives, and colleagues with respect, security, and professionalism, even in pressured situations. You collaborate well with others by listening, showing engagement, and contributing to a good working climate. With a pedagogical ability, you adapt your communication to the individual's conditions and create participation. You work analytically and make well-considered assessments that support safe and knowledge-based psychiatric care.
